How to request relevant, verifiable work examples for your proposed scope.

01

Comparable scope

Ask what work the contractor actually delivered and which specialists were separately appointed.

02

Traceable context

Request dates, location detail, original photographs, and permission appropriate to publication.

03

Client consent

References and site visits should only be shared with the relevant owner’s permission.

Project references should show what a contractor actually delivered, where the work took place and what responsibility the contractor held.

Ask for evidence relevant to your project

When discussing experience, request a reference with a comparable scope rather than judging only from the appearance of a finished building. A contractor may have completed one package rather than the entire project. Ask which work was included and whether design, supervision or specialist installations were supplied by other parties.

  • Project type and location at a level the client has authorized for publication.
  • The company’s specific role and the scope delivered.
  • Dates or project stage supported by records.
  • Original photographs with permission and clear context.
  • A reference contact or site visit only with the relevant owner’s consent.

Discuss a reference request

For a project conversation, contact Sky Limit Builders and explain your proposed scope and location. Ask the team to provide references it can substantiate and share with permission. A verified project gallery will be published when the required project records, image provenance, and permissions are available.

In the meantime, the construction quality checklist explains the records you can request during your own project, and the handover guide helps organize completion evidence.
